Rooftop Garden

The Moorland Centre, Vale of Edale is the flagship centre for the Peak District National Park Authority. The visitors centre is ideally placed near the start of the Pennine Way and is one of the best examples in Britain of a planted roof garden. Planted predominantly with various species of sedum and mosses the vibrant colours look at their best on bright overcast days immediately after rainfall which helps saturate the colours.
